A walk in " Nancy's shoes ".

When Nancy was on her laptop in the hospital, she sent me an E-mail about these Swanx shoes. Knowing my fascination with the Mexican culture she was sure I needed them ! They were handpainted with a " El Dia De Los Muertos" motif , celebrating the "day of the dead" holiday. In her honor I ordered them and proudly wore them around Chandler's Wharf.

I'm so excited that you got the shoes, Joanne...she really wanted you to have them and said she wished she could have gotten them for you for Christmas. None of us will ever really be able to fill Nancy's shoes but I know you'll give it a good try in those!

Maybe you can post the background of "the day of the dead", a Mexican holiday to celebrate death and the transformation to another life ...
