Nancy's Christmas Tea Balls

Here's one of Nancy's favorite holiday cookie recipes...simple and delicious.

Tea Balls

In large bowl, cream together until light and fluffy:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together:
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt.

Mix all together and add 3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll into 1 inch balls and bake at 400 degrees for 12 - 17 minutes, until set but not brown. Roll balls in confectioner's sugar. When cool, roll balls in confectioner's sugar a second time. Serve with a can of Tab:-)

These are my absolute favorites although Mark says they are like eating dust! Don't trust his judgement though... Nancy would always comment on how Mom would say "Mark doesn't like chocolate" and Nancy would remind us all that it was "only chocolate ice cream" !
