Antiquing in Adamstown, PA

I'm in heaven!  Within seven miles of our hotel are more antique shops than I've ever seen in one place. We started out at 9:00 this morning and didn't finish up until the antique mall we were in reminded us that they were closing. It was pouring most of the the day, and cold,  so it was a good day for shopping indoors. Here is a sample of some of the day's sights...

We pulled into a parking area to check the map on our way back to the hotel and this was the view in front of us...we were so busy antiquing that we almost forgot that we are in Amish country. It's beautiful here...rolling green fields dotted with simple stone farmhouses and barns.
In spite of the cold and rain, today was perfect. I bought some funky small items which I'll share on the blog once I get home and get them unpacked. The prices here are definitely more reasonable than they are in New England so I was able to score some good bargains. Tomorrow we'll be up early for the huge Renninger's Sunday Outdoor Flea Market.  I understand that the die-hards arrive before dawn and do early-bird shopping with flashlights.  I think we'll try to at least wait until the sun comes up before heading out.  I'll be bringing the camera so that I can share some of tomorrow's vintage eye candy with you.
Happy Sunday,
Cheryl

Wish I could have dove into one or two of those piles. What a find.
