Need a Good Laugh?

If you read this blog, you know that I've been on Weight Watchers for quite awhile now. All in all, I'm doing well...almost 30 pounds gone since September. But...today wasn't so good and I decided that I had to just sit back and just laugh at myself. Since I'm still laughing, I decided that you could probably use a good laugh too, albeit at the expense of your humble blogging friend. So, here goes...

I arrived at school this morning and there were little cookies on a baking tray in the old Home Ec. room where I store my diet soda. I had just weighed in at the Weight Watchers center on my way to school. I gained a pound and was feeling pretty discouraged so I snuck a cookie from the tray and ate it. Just one couldn't make it any worse, right?  Well, it was AWFUL and I ran to the sink to spit it out. I figured that the kids who had made them must have messed up the recipe. A few minutes later,  the special ed. teacher came into my office to tell me about her new class project:  they would be making dog biscuits and selling them to raise money for the local Animal Refuge League.  Guess what??? Their first batch was on the cookie sheets in the old Home. Ec. room!!!
Feeling pretty stupid,
p.s. This post is linked to NO blog parties!

As your Weight Watcher Leader, I must say that I am probably the only WW Leader that has a member that eats non-people foodies ! Dog biscuits are not a zero snack !
With a 30 lbs loss so far, YOU MAKE ME PROUD . Sit, roll over, don't bark.
Luv, Luv, Maryelizabeth

Aside from the 'not cookie' taste, that was too funny. Not stupid. Just human. Thanks for a chuckle.

I am "cracking up." I am a registered, licensed dietitian and had so many "mess ups" in the Home Econ. cooking courses in College. That is a cute story and you did make me laugh. Weight Watchers is a wonderful program. Don't get discouraged; because sometimes your body goes into a fasting mode because you have cut back on calorie intake...it thinks you are starving your body...you will start back losing if you trudge on! Congrats on the progress you have already made...Tiff

Ha! Maybe I need to keep doggie cookies in the house instead of people cookies to keep me from indulging. Fun stopping by! I am looking forward to perusing many of your past posts!

Great success in your weight loss! Good job!

Cheryl!!!

LOL!!

Actually, maybe we should all eat a dog cookie or two and then maybe we would stay away from the people cookies because of the memory of that dog cookie in our mouths!!

This may be a good dieting tip!!

Congrats on the 30 pound weight loss. I realize that the only way I am going to lose weight is to suture my mouth shut!!! LOL!! So I stand here applauding you for your will power, girl!

Hugs,
Debbie

That was a cute story! I make homemade treats for my furbabies and a few years ago my boys had the same experience as you - they thought they were cookies. After I was done laughing (mean mom - but you really should have seen the look on their faces!) I promised them that from that point on I would make specific shapes for the pet treats so they would know at a glance who they were for!

Congratulations on your weight loss thus far and I hope you reach and maintain your goal.
